Join the Emerging Artist Residency Studio
The Emerging Artist Residency (EAR) studio at Summit Artspace is a temporary shared work space for recent grads and other emerging artists at pivotal points in their careers. Since 2020, the EAR studio has served 12 local emerging artists with free studio space as well as access to a community of artists, resources, and the general public.
Through an ArtsForward grant from ArtsNow, the studio will be transformed into an artist incubator program to help launch sustainable careers for local emerging artists through access to free workspace, mentorship, exhibition opportunities, professional development, and stipends. Summit Artspace is seeking two artists to fill the shared studio space and join current EAR artists Madison McSweeney and Ashley Strub. The opportunity is for September 2026 - September 2027, although the option to extend the stay in the EAR studio will be available for up to 2 years (without stipend).
Selection committee is comprised of previous EAR Studio residents Alexia Avdelas and Abby Cipar.
A decision will be made by August 24 with move in date as early as September 1.
